Evolent Health is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Business Intelligence Center of Excellence (BI COE) Reporting team. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting internal and external customers with inquiries on various specialty products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Analysis: Understand complex business-use cases and translate them into meaningful data visualization using Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents Designs (FSDs), and wireframes.
  • Data Analysis: Perform data analysis using advanced SQL skills and Excel to support internal clients' data requests and queries.
  • Validation: Validate features implemented to support the BRDs.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain processes related to all standard reporting.
  • Process Improvements: Identify and enhance operational processes for improved efficiency and results.
  • Troubleshoot: Review existing code and documentation when an issue is identified by a user.
  • Training: Cross-train with fellow employees to ensure that a single point of failure doesn't exist, while also supporting other teammates when needed.
Requirements
  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 4-7 years' experience with business and data analysis tasks.
  • SQL experience in writing complex queries and able to troubleshoot code.
  • Clear understanding of reporting requirements to create Business Requirement Documents (BRD) for development and testing.
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communications, including the ability to summarize the results of data analysis for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills working within a fast-paced start-up environment.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and work to ensure all mission-critical timeframes and deadlines are met.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Construction design of user-facing presentation tools: Power BI or SSRS, Excel-based charting, Power Pivot queries, etc.
  • Healthcare experience Analyst Experience.
  • Familiarity with JIRA for managing tasks.
  • Exposure to TestRail for testing new reports and enhancements to existing reports.
