Position Overview

As an Airline Technical Representative (ATR), you will play a crucial role in supporting various strategic initiatives related to airport construction. This position requires you to manage and coordinate complex aviation projects through all stages, including programming, planning, design, and execution. Your success will hinge on your analytical skills and your ability to communicate essential information effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee tasks and timelines, participate in project meetings, and maintain direct communication with airport and airline personnel.
  • Document all communications and ensure clarity in interactions with clients and team members.
  • Utilize your expertise in airport and airline operations to understand the impact of airport systems on airline performance.
  • Address complex challenges by collaborating with diverse teams to achieve common objectives.
  • Lead large workgroups by identifying actions, delegating responsibilities, and removing obstacles to progress.
  • Prepare and present materials that simplify complex issues for stakeholders.
  • Analyze data to identify root causes of issues and establish benchmarks for operational systems.

Baggage Handling Expertise

  • Possess a solid understanding of baggage handling systems and their influence on airline operations.
  • Evaluate project phasing plans to assess impacts on airline operations.
  • Coordinate with project teams and airlines to mitigate operational disruptions.
  • Identify trends to predict potential schedule and quality challenges.
  • Contribute to operational briefings to assess project impacts on standard operations.
  • Facilitate shutdown review meetings and chair executive meetings related to baggage operations.

Airport Operations Management

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to minimize disruptions and anticipate vulnerable operational periods.
  • Develop contingency plans for baggage systems in collaboration with airlines and airport authorities.
  • Enhance the processing of cruise and cold bags at the airport.
  • Analyze employee parking needs and recommend expansion options based on historical data.
  • Champion capital project initiatives to ensure timely project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of experience in the aviation sector, including work with airlines and airports.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction, Civil Engineering, Business, Finance, or Aviation Management.
  • Project Management skills; PMP certification is a plus.
