Position Overview

As an Airline Technical Representative (ATR), you will play a crucial role in supporting various strategic initiatives related to airport construction. This position is highly visible and requires managing and coordinating complex aviation projects through all stages, including programming, planning, design, and construction. Your success will depend on your analytical skills and your ability to communicate essential information effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage tasks and schedules while attending project meetings and maintaining communication with Airport and Airline personnel.
  • Document all communications and ensure that project objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams, demonstrating excellent time management and communication skills.

Essential Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with Airport and Airline operations, with a strong grasp of how airport systems influence airline performance.
  • Proven ability to resolve complex issues involving various processes and stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to guide large teams, assign responsibilities, and eliminate obstacles.
  • Proficient in preparing and presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Adept at data interpretation to identify root causes and establish benchmarks for operational systems.

Baggage Handling Expertise

  • In-depth knowledge of baggage handling systems and their impact on airline operations.
  • Ability to assess project phasing plans and their implications for airline operations.
  • Coordinate with project teams and airlines to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Identify trends to forecast potential project schedule and quality issues.
  • Contribute to operational briefings and shutdown review meetings.
  • Chair meetings focused on baggage handling between airlines and airport stakeholders.

Airport Operations Management

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to minimize disruptions and forecast operational vulnerabilities.
  • Develop contingency plans for baggage systems in collaboration with airlines and airport authorities.
  • Strive to enhance the processing of Cruise Bag/Cold Bag operations.
  • Analyze historical data to determine future employee parking needs and recommend expansions.
  • Champion airport capital project initiatives to ensure timely project delivery.

Professional Background

  • Over 10 years of experience in the aviation sector, specifically with airlines and/or airports.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction, Civil Engineering, Business, Finance, or Aviation Management.
  • Project Management skills; PMP certification is a plus.
