Position Overview

As an Airline Technical Representative (ATR), you will play a crucial role in supporting various strategic initiatives related to airport construction at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). This position requires managing and coordinating complex aviation projects through all stages, including programming, planning, design, and construction. Your analytical skills and ability to communicate critical information effectively will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage tasks and schedules while attending project meetings and communicating with Airport and Airline personnel.
  • Document all communications and collaborate with clients and internal teams, showcasing strong time management and communication skills.

Essential Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with Airport and Airline operations, understanding their impact on operational performance.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities in complex scenarios involving diverse processes and workgroups.
  • Experience leading large teams, identifying actions, assigning responsibilities, and eliminating obstacles.
  • Skilled in preparing and presenting materials that simplify complex issues for various stakeholders.
  • Adept at data interpretation to identify root causes and establish benchmarks for operational systems.

Baggage Handling Expertise

  • Strong understanding of baggage handling systems and their effects on Airline operations.
  • Ability to assess project phasing plans and their operational impacts on Airlines.
  • Coordinate with project teams and Airlines to minimize disruptions and communicate effectively.
  • Identify trends to forecast project schedule and quality issues.
  • Contribute to operational briefings and shutdown review meetings.
  • Chair Airline-Airport Baggage Executive meetings.

Airport Operations Management

  • Coordinate with baggage system stakeholders to reduce operational disruptions.
  • Develop contingency plans for baggage systems in collaboration with Airlines and the Airport.
  • Strive to enhance the Airport's Cruise Bag/Cold Bag processing.
  • Analyze employee parking requirements and recommend expansion options.
  • Champion Airport capital project initiatives to ensure timely project delivery.

Professional Background

  • Over 10 years of experience in the aviation industry, specifically with airlines and/or airports.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.

Educational Requirements

  • BA/BS in Architecture, Construction, Civil Engineering, Business, Finance, or Aviation Management.
  • Project Management skills; PMP certification is a plus.
