Position Overview

The Four Seasons Hotel Miami is in search of a dedicated Pastry Chef de Partie who embodies a commitment to excellence and brings enthusiasm to their work. Ideal Candidate Profile

We seek an individual who is passionate about pastry and can seamlessly integrate into our culinary team. This role involves overseeing the organization, planning, and quality assurance of pastry products, as well as mentoring kitchen staff in the bake/pastry section through effective leadership and management to uphold our cultural and core standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in menu planning and development for the hotel, ensuring consistent preparation and presentation of all food items.
  • Manage labor and operational costs through strategic organization, purchasing, and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation standards set by Four Seasons and local regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Facilitate communication with team members and management to meet operational needs and participate in regular meetings for effective departmental coordination.
  • Foster a harmonious and professional working relationship with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Proficiently handle recipe costing, create pick-up charts, and develop spreadsheets to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct frequent quality inspections to ensure food standards are consistently met.
  • Inspire and motivate team members while leading team-building initiatives.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the floor to guide and develop the pastry team, contributing to the overall success of the operation.
  • Adapt to various shifts and areas within the pastry kitchen to meet business demands and gain the necessary knowledge for career advancement within the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of culinary experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role within a pastry kitchen.
  • Creativity and innovation are essential to continuously evolve our offerings.
