Job Overview

Position Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Legal Counsel with extensive expertise in the planning, construction, management, and upkeep of renewable energy initiatives across the United States. The ideal candidate will primarily focus on drafting and negotiating engineering, procurement, and construction ("EPC"), subcontractor, and supply agreements, and will be an integral part of Webber's Legal Department, reporting directly to the General Counsel.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive legal guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from initial planning to final acceptance, including the drafting and negotiation of various contracts related to renewable energy projects, such as EPC agreements, subcontractor and supplier contracts, and operation and maintenance agreements.
  • Oversee and manage legal disputes involving project stakeholders, including owners, subcontractors, suppliers, and third parties.
  • Conduct general corporate legal tasks, including the preparation of simple resolutions and necessary filings.
  • Offer legal counsel to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Manage relationships with external legal advisors.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree.
  • Active member of the Texas State Bar.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the renewable or conventional energy sector, preferably within a top-tier law firm or the legal department of a leading renewable energy firm.
  • Ability to independently manage tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a self-directed team environment.
  • Exceptional communication, decision-making, project management, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in Spanish is advantageous.
