Position Summary:

The Senior Tax Advisor will oversee all tax-related functions within the organization. This position will support the tax department by managing Federal income tax, property tax, and sales & use tax across all PURIS locations throughout the United States. The role demands extensive knowledge of tax regulations, robust analytical capabilities, and the aptitude to collaborate across various departments within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate internal and external tax audits by supplying required documentation and addressing inquiries.
  • Prepare, process, and maintain all documentation pertinent to the accounting cycle.
  • Ensure the accuracy of records and documents associated with tax reporting and preparation.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of tax policies and assess managerial processes to guarantee compliance.
  • Lead all tax-related planning and reporting, including the submission of corporate tax returns.
  • Remain informed on all federal, state, and local tax and accounting regulations, advising business leaders on best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of business and investment strategies aimed at optimizing tax returns.
  • Support the creation of new policies and procedures to enhance the collection of tax information from departmental managers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is required. (Master's degree in taxation is preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax-related role.
  • Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities.
  • Experience with ERP software (Acumatica preferred).
  • Detail-oriented, collaborative, and deadline-driven.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changes, take initiative, and work independently.
