Initiatives in low carbon energy encompass the commercialization of TETRA PureFlow, an ultra-pure zinc bromide clear brine fluid designed for stationary batteries and energy storage; advancing a pioneering carbon capture utilization and storage technology in collaboration with CarbonFree to capture CO2 and mineralize emissions for the production of commercial, carbon-negative chemicals; and the development of TETRA's lithium and bromine mineral assets to satisfy the increasing demand for oil and gas products and energy storage solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

This role reports directly to the Director of Finance - Chemicals & Low Carbon Solutions.
  • Manage and generate critical financial reports to fulfill diverse business requirements and facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Evaluate historical, current, and projected financial data alongside operational performance metrics.
  • Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for senior management and executive leadership.
  • Assess financial performance indicators (KPIs) to elucidate variances from forecasts and actual results.
  • Circulate monthly flash revenue and EBITDA outcomes to provide early insights into performance relative to the latest forecasts.
  • Oversee the global annual manufacturing budgets and forecasts, aligning with short- and long-term operational goals, organizational structure, and staffing needs for manufacturing and engineering teams.
  • Assist plant managers in monitoring and controlling expenditures, as well as analyzing and reporting significant deviations from budgets or forecasts.
  • Lead cost reduction initiatives to drive annual savings and enhance performance across plants and distribution & transportation teams.
  • Manage all facets of capital expenditures for current and future projects in collaboration with Engineering and Operations teams, including budgeting, forecasting, and asset management.
  • Support accounting functions in decisions related to month-end and quarter-end financial close processes.
  • Address ad-hoc inquiries regarding financial results and analytical requests.
  • Undertake additional special projects and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
  • EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline; M.B.A. is preferred.
  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 7-10 years in relevant areas, including:
    • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into a coherent financial narrative.
    • Proficiency in constructing financial models.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly in conveying complex financial information clearly.
    • Capability to develop cash flow forecasts and projections.
    • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to work autonomously.
    • Experience in large greenfield construction project cost management is advantageous.
    • Familiarity with Percentage of Completion Accounting is a plus.
  • INDUSTRY: Experience in chemical manufacturing or oilfield services is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • TRAVEL: Willingness to travel 10-15% of the time.
  • OTHER: Strong analytical capabilities and experience with computerized accounting and financial forecasting systems, as well as budget preparation and management reporting.
