Job Title: Supported Housing Coordinator

Spectrum Youth and Family Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Supported Housing Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Basic Needs Programs, you will play a vital role in supervising, organizing, and coordinating overall programmatic activities in our Supported Housing Programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct supervision to program Youth Coaches and volunteers, ensuring they have the necessary support and resources to excel in their roles.
  • Recruit, screen, and hire new staff, ensuring a strong and diverse team that reflects our organization's values.
  • Develop and provide program-specific training for staff and volunteers, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional services.
  • Oversee and facilitate weekly/monthly schedules, ensuring seamless coordination and effective use of resources.
  • Facilitate inter-program coordination, working closely with Supported Housing Case Managers and Intake Coordinators to ensure client-centered care.
  • Provide bi-weekly one-on-one supervision to Youth Coaches, offering guidance, support, and opportunities for growth and development.
  • Facilitate weekly group supervisions and team meetings, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication.
  • Participate in supervision and program development with the Director of Basic Needs Programs, drawing on evidence-based interventions to drive positive outcomes.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly re-evaluate program policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with agency standards and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date program records, including logs, client records, and other required documentation.
  • Ensure grant deliverables are integrated into programming, data collection, and reporting, demonstrating our commitment to accountability and transparency.
  • Develop and deliver community presentations related to the Supported Housing Program, raising awareness and promoting our services.
  • Participate in other relevant meetings, such as team meetings and trainings, as needed and approved by the Program Director.
  • Commit to acting as the Basic Needs Programs on-call after-hours support in a rotation with other leadership staff, ensuring seamless coverage and support for our clients.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and relevant experience required; Master's degree in social work or a related field preferred.
  • Three years' experience in a relevant social service position and/or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in providing client-centered, developmentally appropriate services to adolescents, young adults, and their families experiencing complex mental health and substance use concerns.
  • Understanding of the complex impact of trauma and experience providing trauma-informed care.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
  • Crisis intervention skills, including suicide risk assessment, safety planning, and resourcing.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Knowledge of human development, with special attention to adolescent and young adult biopsychosocial development and family systems.
  • Ability to provide leadership to staff, engendering trust and teamwork while setting limits and boundaries.

  • Ability to engage youth, building trust and rapport, and connecting to resources.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) to relate to youth and the business community, helping professionals, government officials, and community leaders.
  • Knowledge of local and statewide services and resources.
  • Commitment to the value of diversity with respect to gender, race, age, socio-economic level, sexual orientation, and religion.
  • Ability to actively support diversity, equity, and cultural competency efforts by participating in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
Work Environment:

The Supported Housing Coordinator will work in a variety of settings, including on-site, street settings, community meeting sites, and public gatherings. The position requires sitting, standing, general use of stairs, and lifting or moving up to 10 pounds.
