Position Overview:
We are seeking a Crop Claims Field Adjuster II to enhance our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our clients receive accurate assessments and support regarding their crop insurance claims.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Crop Adjuster II, your primary duties will encompass:
- Conducting field inspections with minimal oversight, including analyzing maps and aerial imagery, measuring agricultural fields and storage facilities, and discussing complex crop loss scenarios with farmers.
- Interpreting and conveying intricate regulations to claimants, agents, and industry stakeholders regarding claim situations.
- Performing thorough investigations into crop damage, documenting findings, and relaying loss information to determine potential indemnities accurately.
- Gathering pertinent facts while applying relevant laws and principles of negligence.
- Completing reviews and audits of lower-level adjusters as assigned.
- Ensuring compliance with legal standards by maintaining a comprehensive understanding of regulatory and company policies.
- Contributing to team objectives by achieving related results and participating in various projects as necessary.
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in crop insurance and claims adjusting.
- Certification in the Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP).
- Reliable transportation for travel within the designated territory.
Physical Requirements:
The role requires the ability to:
- Walk in agricultural fields for distances up to 3 miles.
- Climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet.
- Lift weights ranging from 25 lbs. to 50 lbs.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in providing technical training to fellow crop professionals.
