Position Overview:

The Operations Manager will report directly to the Site Director and will be accountable for the planning and coordination of all manufacturing activities. This includes ensuring safety, engineering, production planning, continuous improvement, and quality assurance in the manufacturing of medical products.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership abilities, with a knack for devising innovative solutions that challenge the status quo.

Essential Duties:
- Lead the daily operations of the facility to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor operational performance against financial targets and implement necessary adjustments to drive cost-saving initiatives.
- Foster strong relationships with the workforce to proactively address and resolve issues.
- Set clear expectations and provide training and support to team members.
- Maintain accountability for timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality outcomes.

Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs through optimal resource utilization and continuous evaluation of processes.

Team Development:
- Directly manage and develop team members, providing coaching, mentoring, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Implement career development plans for direct reports.

Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure adherence to all federal safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the production area.
- Participate in environmental health and safety activities, including root cause analysis and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing or a related field, ideally within a GMP medical manufacturing environment.
- Proven success in managing teams and leading multiple departments.

Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with various stakeholders including customers and suppliers.
- In-depth understanding of manufacturing operations, maintenance, safety systems, and automation.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, capable of balancing production and maintenance needs.

Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to analyze data and trends effectively.
