About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Anesthesia Technician to join our team at ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital - Los Angeles. As a key member of our medical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standard of patient care and comfort.

Responsibilities
  • Support veterinarians in ensuring quality veterinary care and advocating for pets
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures, adhering to state Veterinary Practice Act guidelines
  • Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records
  • Obtain relevant health history and information from clients
  • Use safe restraining techniques and follow standard protocols to maintain a clean and sterile environment
  • Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members
Requirements
  • Understanding of anesthesia protocols, including pre-anesthetic assessments, drug dosages, and post-anesthesia care
  • Proficiency in monitoring equipment, administering anesthesia, and responding to anesthesia-related emergencies
  • Attention to detail, ensuring precise dosages, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining detailed patient records
  • Established record of working extensively in soft tissue surgeries
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
