Position Overview:

This position entails the development and management of both proactive and reactive strategies for the Purchasing and Supply Chain Center (PSCC). Responsibilities include implementing a rotating PDCA cycle on assigned activities, establishing plans, monitoring progress, and addressing identified gaps. The role demands strong leadership and collaboration skills, both within the Business Unit and across the organization. The successful candidate will lead and engage in comprehensive projects while adeptly navigating complex supplier data and situations. Additionally, this role involves spearheading strategic initiatives and facilitating training related to their area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Department's business plan by establishing measurable performance targets, forecasting impacts, monitoring outcomes, and developing plans to address any gaps.
  • Design and implement training programs for associates in affected PSCC Departments.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of current business practices and recommend improvement strategies.
  • Perform in-depth root cause analyses through data examination, collaborating with relevant PSCC Departments to understand supplier situation assessments.
  • Initiate regular, interactive discussions with other Business Units to ensure effective communication and idea exchange.
  • Identify problem areas and devise effective countermeasures to mitigate operational impacts.

Candidate Profile:

Required Experience:

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience, commensurate with educational background.
  • Meets or exceeds the criteria for exempt level 5 positions.

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Human Resources, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Performance Indicators:

  • Lead and manage complex problem-solving analyses, investigations, and reporting.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Analyze operational conditions and specifications to propose enhancements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies on new technologies, design concepts, and equipment concerning supplier capabilities for process and product development.
  • Maintain project documentation and escalate issues as needed.

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Internal Contacts: PSCC management, PTD management, Plant management, PED, VQD, AF, NM, MQ, SCM, Procurement.
  • External Contacts: Suppliers (including part suppliers and third-party service providers).

Job Dimensions:

  • No direct reports.
  • No indirect reports.

Decision-Making Responsibilities:

  • Review supplier data comprehensively to identify actual and potential issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a holistic view of supplier performance and stability, utilizing stakeholder input to formulate action plans.
  • Lead project and system assessment teams, communicating findings effectively.
  • Evaluate supplier improvement plans and provide constructive feedback, working collaboratively to address delays.
  • Make informed decisions regarding project progress and future direction.

Additional Position Factors:

  • Workstyle: Hybrid.
  • Approximately 5 hours of overtime per week.
  • Potential for limited travel.
  • Open office environment.
  • Hybrid work arrangement (3 days in-office, 2 days remote).
