Position Overview:

This role entails the development and maintenance of both proactive and reactive strategies for the Purchasing and Supply Chain Center (PSCC). Responsibilities include implementing a rotating PDCA on designated activities, establishing plans, monitoring progress, and addressing identified gaps. The position requires strong leadership and collaboration skills, both within the Business Unit and externally. The selected candidate will lead and engage in comprehensive projects while navigating complex supplier data and situations. Additionally, this role involves formulating strategies and executing training relevant to the designated responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Department's business plan performance metrics and targets, forecast impacts, monitor outcomes, and devise gap elimination strategies to meet departmental objectives.
  • Design and implement training programs for associates in the affected PSCC Departments.
  • Conduct thorough technical analyses of current business practices and recommend improvement strategies.
  • Perform in-depth root cause analyses through data evaluation, collaborating with impacted PSCC Departments to understand supplier situation assessments.
  • Initiate regular, interactive discussions with other Business Units to facilitate two-way sharing of insights and ideas.
  • Identify problem areas and devise effective countermeasures to rectify issues or prevent potential disruptions to operations.

Candidate Profile:

Required Experience:

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience based on educational background.
  • Meets or exceeds the criteria for exempt level 5 positions.

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Human Resources, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Performance Indicators:

  • Lead and manage complex problem-solving analyses, investigations, and documentation.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Analyze operational conditions and specifications to propose enhancements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies on new technologies, design concepts, and equipment in relation to supplier capabilities for process and product development.
  • Maintain project documentation and escalate issues as necessary (office visual management).

Communication & Relationships:

  • Internal Contacts: PSCC management, PTD management, Plant management, PED, VQD, AF, NM, MQ, SCM, Procurement.
  • External Contacts: Suppliers (part suppliers and third-party service providers).

Decision-Making Responsibilities:

  • Review supplier data comprehensively and independently to identify actual and potential issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain a holistic view of supplier performance and stability, utilizing key stakeholder input to formulate action plans.
  • Lead project/system assessment teams and communicate findings.
  • Evaluate supplier activity and improvement plans, determining their acceptability while providing constructive feedback and collaborating with suppliers to recover from delays.
  • Make informed decisions regarding project progress and future direction.

Additional Position Factors:

  • Workstyle: Hybrid
  • Approximately 5 hours of overtime per week.
  • Potential for limited travel.
  • Open office environment.
  • Hybrid work model (3 days in-office, 2 days remote).
