Position Overview
The Senior Systems Engineer will play a pivotal role in executing development initiatives aimed at creating functional prototypes that evolve into production-ready ATV/SxS vehicles. This position involves researching and implementing new technologies to meet business objectives while ensuring global product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of intricate hardware and software integrated systems for ATV/SxS prototypes, ensuring they meet performance and manufacturing standards. Mentor a diverse team of engineers to define subsystem requirements and finalize specifications for new models and mass production vehicles.

  • Oversee the verification of complex systems and subsystems, ensuring they meet specification targets through engineering principles, simulations, and physical testing. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation as required.

  • Establish cost targets for components and optimize designs to meet development goals while implementing cost-reduction strategies.

  • Manage project schedules and coordinate resources effectively to meet deadlines, while communicating project status consistently.

  • Generate innovative ideas that contribute to the evolution of new technologies and guide their maturation for development applications.

  • Identify and address market quality issues using problem-solving techniques to analyze root causes and develop necessary specifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • A minimum of 8 years of engineering experience, preferably in the Powersports or Automotive industry.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Expertise in complex hardware and software interfaces.
  • Excellent communication skills with both staff and management.
  • Adept at translating ambiguous requirements into clear objectives.
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Proficient in FTA, FMEA, and dimensional tolerance stack-ups.
  • Strong analytical skills for complex problem-solving.
  • Understanding of design, release, development, and validation processes.
  • Competence in data acquisition software/hardware and laboratory techniques.
  • Knowledge of system reliability, safety, monitoring, and diagnostic technologies.
  • In-depth understanding of Systems Engineering methodologies and tools.

Working Conditions

  • Travel: Occasional travel, including potential international trips.
  • Physical: Primarily office-based work with some involvement in lab and testing environments.
  • Hazards: Exposure to typical office and shop hazards.
  • Overtime: May be required based on project demands.
