Position Overview
The Senior Software Architect role is pivotal in advancing Honda's Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electric (CASE) initiatives. This position requires a seasoned engineer capable of leading software design and verification testing for in-vehicle digital services. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience to devise innovative solutions for complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Oversee project details, breaking down concepts into actionable development tasks while coordinating with key stakeholders and managing timelines.
  • Software Architecture Development: Create optimized software architecture strategies in compliance with Automotive SPICE standards, utilizing modeling tools effectively.
  • Detailed Software Design: Produce comprehensive software designs based on architectural requirements, ensuring adherence to coding guidelines.
  • Unit Verification: Conduct thorough verification of software units, ensuring compliance with design specifications and performing static code analysis.
  • Integration Testing: Integrate software units into a complete system, verifying functionality and compliance with architectural requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software development.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, preferably C++.
  • Experience with LINUX/UNIX operating systems and software development tools.

Work Environment
This role may involve hands-on work with vehicles and may require travel to various facilities for testing purposes. A hybrid work model is available, allowing for remote work based on business needs.
