Jenni Kayne is in search of a Retail Operations Leader for our retail establishment. We are particularly interested in candidates who possess experience collaborating with Interior Designers or managing a furniture or home design showroom. In this role, our Retail Operations Leaders are instrumental in fostering the success and development of their store and team. Our leaders adopt an entrepreneurial approach, treating the business as if it were their own.

As the **Retail Operations Leader**, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a guiding figure for the store, establishing a consistent and engaging customer experience alongside a positive workplace culture.
  • Being actively involved in all facets of operations, including training sales personnel, overseeing initial setups, and collaborating with leadership and marketing on all store events.
  • Focusing on expanding the Interior Design trade business at the location.
  • Achieving successful sales performance that meets or exceeds planned expectations by maintaining high customer service standards, proactively developing business initiatives, and building community relationships.
  • Ensuring the store team effectively communicates the Jenni Kayne brand to customers, showcasing knowledge of both fashion and home aspects of the brand, and encouraging customer engagement through our loyalty programs.
  • Being accountable for all business areas, providing constructive feedback, and executing company directives to drive sales outcomes.
  • Maintaining exceptional operational standards, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in inventory management.
  • Collaborating with senior management to coordinate in-store events that boost attendance and sales revenue.
  • Evaluating and nurturing store associates through performance management, providing regular feedback, recognizing strengths, and addressing areas for improvement.
  • Anticipating hiring needs and ensuring the recruitment of top talent for the store; managing scheduling, time off, and payroll.
  • Delivering comprehensive training for team members and ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
  • Serving as a mentor to your team and peers, striving to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with all Jenni Kayne employees.

**Qualifications**

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in retail management.
  • A proven understanding of all aspects of retail, including business development, visual merchandising, and operational management.
  • Experience in executing small-scale events and engaging the community around a local business.
  • Willingness and availability to work during peak business periods.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, detail-oriented, organized, and a proactive attitude.
  • Familiarity with POS and Inventory Management systems, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Comfortable in training, providing feedback, and developing team members.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
