POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Sales Supervisor plays a pivotal role in driving sales while also taking on leadership duties. In the absence of Store Management, the Sales Supervisor will oversee store operations and staff, serving as the highest authority in the store.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership:
- Model exceptional customer service and uphold store standards.
- Act as a brand ambassador for James Perse.
- Support Store Management in motivating the team to meet and exceed sales objectives.
- Consistently uphold company policies and standards.
- Demonstrate thorough product knowledge and brand values.
- Identify opportunities for product and team development and propose actionable solutions to management.
- Maintain awareness of local market trends and competitors.
- Communicate effectively with the team and establish clear goals.
- Foster a collaborative environment among team members.
- Relay customer feedback to Store Management.
Sales Performance:
- Meet and surpass individual sales targets and company KPIs.
- Prioritize customer satisfaction as the foremost goal.
- Assist sales associates in upselling and suggesting additional products.
- Utilize styling knowledge to enhance the selling experience.
- Build and nurture a loyal client base.
- Schedule and manage client appointments.
- Engage in proactive networking to expand clientele.
Customer Engagement:
- Greet all customers warmly and sincerely.
- Assist Store Management in ensuring a customer-centric approach among staff.
- Facilitate client appointments and consignment processes based on customer needs.
- Enhance the customer service experience to distinguish the James Perse brand.
- Support staff in personalizing customer interactions.
Supervisory Duties:
- Encourage teamwork and collaboration among staff.
- Manage store operations in the absence of Store Management.
- Conduct team meetings as necessary.
- Resolve customer complaints effectively.
- Ensure adequate coverage on the sales floor.
- Represent the James Perse brand through staff presence.
- Assist in recruiting and onboarding exceptional talent.
- Support ongoing training and development of staff.
- Communicate company expectations clearly to the team.
- Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
Operational Duties:
- Oversee store opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain high standards of store cleanliness and organization.
- Manage inventory effectively.
- Ensure visual merchandising standards are consistently met.
- Assist with product movement and replenishment.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Special Skills:
- Prior experience in a luxury retail environment is essential.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
- Experience with retail management systems is preferred.
- Established clientele is a plus.
- Willingness to relocate may enhance career growth opportunities.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of 3-4 years in a luxury retail setting or similar industry.
