Position Summary:

The Finance Team at Imply is in search of a proactive and motivated Commissions Manager. This role will take charge of the development and management of our commission structures and quarterly bonus frameworks. Additionally, this position will play a vital role in communicating the monthly commission cycle and managing data pertinent to our sales team. Collaborating closely with the Finance team and senior management, the Commissions Manager will oversee compensation management, deliver essential KPIs, forecast commission expenses, report on sales representative productivity, manage Customer Experience bonus plans, and provide strategic recommendations to enhance sales performance. This individual will also contribute to the preparation of reporting dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and oversee monthly quota credits and commission distributions for all commission-based personnel, including both domestic and international staff.
  • Manage the quarterly bonus calculations for the Customer Experience team.
  • Draft and disseminate all commission and bonus plan documentation for participants.
  • Engage with employees to clarify payment discrepancies and address ad hoc inquiries regarding commission distributions.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Operations team to facilitate deal closures related to ARR, bookings, and other improvements as necessary.
  • Work in conjunction with Deal Desk, Legal, and field teams on proposal evaluations.
  • Assist in calculating other variable compensation and bonus plans as required.
  • Support the development of commissions forecasting models and provide necessary financial KPI data.
  • Aid the accounting team during the monthly close process, including clarifying revenue variances related to commission expenses.
  • Work closely with the Sales Operations strategy team to derive insights from data concerning our quota-bearing sales personnel.
  • Assess workflow systems and processes to recommend and implement enhancements that improve the accuracy and efficiency of the variable compensation process.
  • Generate ad hoc financial reports and analyses as needed.
  • Manage quarterly consumption calculations for existing clients.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the function as the company expands.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics.
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in a SaaS startup is essential; additional experience in larger companies with best-in-class practices is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Google Sheets, Documents, and Slides.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Adaptive Planning, and NetSuite is a plus.
  • Ability to balance meticulous attention to detail while managing competing priorities and collaborating with the team to meet deliverables.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A proactive team player who fosters a positive team environment.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy and trust.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience supporting successful fundraising or M&A transactions is desirable.

Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications in alignment with Imply's internal leveling guidelines. This role is also eligible for participation in Imply's equity plan, subject to the terms of applicable plans and policies.
