Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team at The Christian Reformed Church in North America. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Chief Human Resources Officer and assist with various HR-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Chief Human Resources Officer, including scheduling appointments, processing correspondence, and maintaining records.
  • Prepare and process invoices, check requests, and expense reports.
  • Schedule meetings, workshops, and trainings, and handle logistics as needed.
  • Partner with the Human Resources Generalist to assist with personnel action forms, payroll, new hires, leave of absence, and terminations.
  • Assist with data entry and maintenance of the HRIS system, and prepare monthly reports.
  • Coordinate recognition and rewards programs.
  • Audit monthly benefits, reporting, and forms.
  • Maintain employee files electronically and in hard copy.
  • Assist with scheduling and registering trainings and WR Orientation Program.
  • Update and maintain HR websites and documentation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Two years of administrative experience, preferably in HR.
  • Intermediate proficiency in commonly used computer applications.
  • Proven ability to plan and organize tasks, multitask, and set priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently with minimal direction.
Working Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced HR environment and will be required to maintain a high level of confidentiality. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and able to work collaboratively with the HR team.
