Your Role:

The HR & Safety Generalist will oversee the daily operations of the Human Resources department, which includes, but is not limited to, talent acquisition, onboarding, training, compensation and benefits management, leave administration, talent development, HR compliance, payroll processing, and employee engagement and retention. Reporting directly to the President, this role is essential in fostering community, culture, and collaboration while maintaining a balance between employee advocacy and business operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, along with 3+ years of experience, to manage the entire employee lifecycle and collaborate with leadership to cultivate a robust company culture.
  • Enhance the candidate experience by managing the complete recruitment process, employing innovative talent sourcing strategies, conducting interviews, extending offers, and facilitating the onboarding journey.
  • Utilize strong interpersonal communication skills to work alongside leaders throughout the organization, assisting with performance management, compensation adjustments, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Exhibit meticulous attention to detail and a solid understanding of payroll processing to effectively manage payroll activities, with experience in multi-state payroll and Paycor being advantageous.
  • Administer all employee leaves of absence, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements by tracking deadlines, managing paperwork, and providing proactive communication and support to employees.
  • Maintain a compliance-focused approach by ensuring proper management of I-9 forms, maintaining legal postings, auditing annual training, preserving safety records, updating policies and the employee handbook, managing internal ISO documentation, and completing employment verifications.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on internal compliance processes related to quality and safety systems.
  • Act as a collaborative team member by providing general support to visitors, maintaining employee files and internal documents, and coordinating internal management meetings.
