Key Responsibilities

All Family Support Caseworkers:

  • Oversee comprehensive case documentation, prepare court reports, and utilize family engagement techniques to enhance safety.
  • Evaluate and make determinations regarding child/youth safety, which may involve removing a child from their home environment.
  • Advocate for families and children, provide testimony in court, and manage high-stress situations.
  • May require availability during late evening hours for crisis management and scheduled emergency coverage.
  • Travel within the designated area and occasionally throughout the state.
  • Engage with families facing various challenges, including substance abuse, mental health issues, and domestic violence.

Additional responsibilities will depend on the specific team to which a Caseworker is assigned, such as Intake, Permanency, Chafee, or Foster Care Placement.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, candidates must possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field along with work experience in human services-related organizations.
  • Professional, internship, or volunteer experience that meets the job requirements.
  • Employment offers are contingent upon successful background checks and verification of education.
  • Driver's license requirements and restrictions apply.
