Human Services Agency Social Worker

The San Francisco Human Services Agency is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Social Worker to join our team. As a Social Worker, you will play a critical role in providing essential services to individuals and families in need.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-home interviews and assessments to determine client needs and develop service plans.
- Provide case management activities, including identifying and assessing client needs, coordinating and monitoring services, and preparing reports and reassessments.
- Refer clients to other agencies and document case files as necessary.
- Assist clients in preparing forms and reports, and provide information and explain policies, rules, and regulations of the agency.
- Present orientations for community agencies and establish and maintain contacts with local organizations and service providers.
- Monitor and interact with children during the intake process, and complete placement assessments and assist with requests for emergency placements.
- Investigate complaints regarding the safety of children in placement, and refer clients to Adult Protective Services for conservatorship, placement, or protection when necessary.
- Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in social work, sociology, psychology, counseling, or other behavioral science.
- Experience performing social casework or eligibility casework with a public or private agency/organization may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis (up to a maximum of two years).
