Key Responsibilities

All Child Welfare Caseworkers:

  • Oversee comprehensive case documentation, prepare court reports, and utilize family engagement techniques to enhance safety.
  • Evaluate and make determinations regarding child/youth safety, which may involve the removal of a child from their home.
  • Advocate for families and children, provide testimony in court, and manage high-stress situations.
  • May require late evening hours for crisis response and scheduled emergency coverage.
  • Travel within the Denver Metro area and occasionally throughout Colorado.
  • Engage with families facing diverse challenges, including substance abuse, mental health issues, and domestic violence.

Additional duties will depend on the specific team to which a Caseworker is assigned, such as Intake, Permanency, Chafee, or Foster Care Placement.

Minimum Qualifications

To be eligible, candidates must possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and experience in human services-related agencies.
  • Professional, internship, or volunteer experience that aligns with the job requirements.
  • Employment offers are contingent upon background checks and verification of education.
  • Driver's license requirements and restrictions apply.
