PAY RANGE: $24.62 - $25.36

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Bilingual Caseworker at Project Open Hand plays a crucial role in delivering compassionate services to clients. This position is responsible for engaging with clients, assessing their eligibility for various programs, and conducting comprehensive intake interviews for both new and returning clients. The role requires interaction with clients in various settings, responding to inquiries, and performing essential administrative functions. Collaboration with other team members in the Client Services Department is vital to ensure effective service delivery and decision-making regarding client support.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Human Services-related field
  • Proficient in computer applications (MS Office/Outlook)
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries in a social service environment
  • Bilingual in Spanish

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in Mental Health or Social Work
  • Background in working with clients facing multiple diagnoses (e.g., substance abuse, mental health issues)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process applications for services and perform client intake and recertification
  • Verify client eligibility by liaising with service providers and gathering necessary documentation
  • Maintain an organized client database, including scheduling and documenting client interactions
  • Assess client needs and provide appropriate referrals to external resources
  • Conduct home visits and respond to crisis situations effectively
  • Facilitate program orientation for clients to ensure they can access services successfully
  • Address client feedback and resolve complaints in a constructive manner
  • Act as a liaison between clients and various agency departments
  • Perform additional duties as required
