Events Management Coordinator at Associated Students

Compensation Range: $71,000-75,000 Annually
POSITION SUMMARY
The Events Management Coordinator at Associated Students, under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Operations, is tasked with the strategic planning, organization, and implementation of meetings, events, and conferences. This position emphasizes delivering exceptional customer service while adhering to safety and security protocols.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees on-site facility and event administration
- Plans staffing requirements for various meetings and events
- Maintains vendor service agreements and necessary documentation
- Creates and revises operational manuals and training programs for staff
- Ensures adherence to established policies and procedures
- Coordinates event scheduling, manages equipment inventory, and processes permit applications
- Supervises personnel and supports daily operational tasks
- Implements safety, security, and emergency response protocols
- Conducts pre-event and post-event evaluations
- Facilitates effective communication with clients, team members, and service providers
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
- A minimum of four years in student union operations
- Proven experience in event production and team leadership
- Familiarity with ADA compliance, fire safety regulations, and event logistics
- Skilled in event management and scheduling software
CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification mandatory
- Possession of a valid California Driver's License and insurance required
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
- Completion of relevant training programs within the first month of employment

WORKING CONDITIONS
