Position Summary:
Kikiktagruk Inupiat Corporation is seeking a skilled Foreman to oversee and coordinate all activities on-site, ensuring that operations adhere to the established timeline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify that all necessary materials are procured and delivered to the job site ahead of schedule.
- Address and resolve issues with team members, subcontractors, and general contractors.
- Ensure systems are installed in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Safely operate a variety of construction tools and machinery.
- Manage material handling equipment operations.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and foster positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Complete all mandatory training related to company policies, contracts, and safety protocols.
- Assess crew performance and conduct evaluations as needed.
- Maintain consistent communication with the site Superintendent and Project Manager.
- Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and timely.
- Identify and rectify any deficiencies in work quality.
- Enforce performance standards in line with job specifications, safety regulations, and OSHA guidelines.
- Uphold a safe working environment with a strong commitment to safety.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction as a skilled laborer or equivalent role.
- Proven experience in installing systems according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage crews effectively.
- Willingness to engage in continuous learning.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
- Must pass and maintain a government background check and site access requirements.
Certifications and Licenses:
- OSHA 30-Hour certification is advantageous.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required; CDL is preferred.
Work Environment:
- Construction sites, laboratories, etc.
Physical Requirements:
- Visual acuity, ability to stand, sit, lift, and perform other physical tasks.
