Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the manufacturing department, ensuring that production targets are met, and that employees are trained and motivated to perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Supervision:
    • Recruit, train, and develop high-performing team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
    • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, providing clear instructions and expectations to ensure seamless execution.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members to drive growth and improvement.
    • Recommend performance awards and merit increases for team members who meet or exceed expectations.
    • Approve time records and requests for time off, ensuring that team members are accurately compensated for their work.
    • Resolve employee complaints and concerns in a fair and timely manner, maintaining a positive and inclusive work environment.
    • Document performance issues and maintain written records of disciplinary actions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manufacturing Operations:
    • Ensure that the production line is set up and running efficiently at the start of each shift, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
    • Monitor daily productivity and provide suggestions for improvement, driving continuous process optimization.
    • Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and report any malfunctions or inefficiencies to maintenance, ensuring prompt resolution.
    • Enter production data on a daily basis and verify samples and labels, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Submit attendance sheets within the assigned timeline, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
    • Gather materials in advance and verify required amounts before beginning work orders, ensuring efficient use of resources.
    • Prepare materials and contact warehouse to return unused materials to inventory after work orders are completed, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory levels.
    • Ensure that machines and equipment are cleaned and stored properly at the end of each shift, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
    • Supervise that safety conditions in manufacturing areas are adequate, ensuring compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
    • Maintain professional knowledge in GMP, GDP, gowning, six sigma, 5S, and lean manufacturing, staying up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
    • Ability to understand and create reports in productivity, waste reduction, manpower, stream mapping, and other key performance indicators, providing data-driven insights to drive business decisions.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Develop and implement training programs to improve employee skills and knowledge, driving continuous learning and development.
    • Mentor and coach employees to help them achieve their career goals, providing guidance and support to drive personal and professional growth.
    • Motivate and engage employees to improve team performance and productivity, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
