Position Summary:
As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency at SMC Corporation. Your expertise in lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies will be crucial in fostering a culture of continuous improvement within our medical device production environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a catalyst for organizational growth and development on the lean manufacturing journey.
- Conduct Process and Value Stream Mapping to identify areas for improvement.
- Lead Kaizen events and activities to drive process enhancements.
- Monitor, gather, and interpret performance data to inform decision-making.
- Design effective work cell layouts and optimize facility flow.
- Perform ergonomic assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
- Oversee Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) initiatives, including root cause analysis.
- Analyze capacity and plan accordingly to meet production demands.
- Champion waste reduction initiatives across the organization, focusing on inventory, movement, defects, and processing times.
- Provide training to both technical and non-technical staff.

Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, including tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and DMAIC.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proven leadership abilities and experience working collaboratively across various departments.

Desirable Qualifications:
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab).
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
- Previous experience in leadership and team development within the medical device industry.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and perform various physical activities, including standing, walking, and lifting.
- Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines.

Compensation:
The annual salary range for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
