Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator Part-Time

We are seeking an energetic and flexible Patient Care Coordinator Part-Time to join our growing dynamic team. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will work alongside a healthcare team in a retail cannabis dispensary environment, reporting directly to the Dispensary Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients and caregivers through the dispensary process/experience
  • Help train other team members in the use of cannabis-based medicines
  • Complete operational requirements by maintaining an organized work flow; verifying preparation and labeling of medications, verifying order entries and charges
  • Comply with all state laws and regulations
  • Participate in recordkeeping and reporting necessary for State Compliance
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with custodial procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Work on company initiatives to achieve set goals and performance indicators
  • Educate patients on the proper use and storage of medical cannabis medications
  • Assist patients in determining the best treatment course under the supervision of a registered pharmacist and in conjunction with a provider's recommendation
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, potential patients, caregivers, and providers
  • Maintain cash register and accountability for assigned drawer
  • Complete opening/closing procedures as assigned
  • Utilize computer systems and programs appropriately for daily operations such as patient communication, refill orders, making appointments and home deliveries
  • Assist with the incoming orders, shipments, and deliveries of supplies
  • Attend staff meetings, continuing education, as directed
  • Maintain and safeguard entrusted confidential information
  • Work with eCommerce platform to review and approve online orders and patient accounts
  • Assist patients in utilizing the eCommerce platform in order to obtain medical cannabis medications
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma and 1-3 years' experience in a retail environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office required
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Adaptable to change in the work environment
  • At least 21 years of age as required by law
  • Ability to pass background check and drug test as required by law (positive marijuana test is acceptable if applicant is a Maryland certified medical cannabis patient)
