About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Vireo Health. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support in a retail cannabis dispensary environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in our team to educate and safely deliver medication to medical cannabis patients.
  • Assist patients and caregivers through the dispensary process, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience.
  • Train other team members in the use of cannabis-based medicines, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and excellence.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with state regulations and company standards.
  • Contribute to a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection-control standards and custodial procedures.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve set goals and performance indicators.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, caregivers, and providers, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Manage cash register and accountability for assigned drawer, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures as assigned, ensuring a smooth transition between shifts.
  • Utilize computer systems and programs to facilitate daily operations, including patient communication, refill orders, and home deliveries.
  • Assist with incoming orders, shipments, and deliveries of supplies, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
  • Attend staff meetings, continuing education, and training sessions as directed, staying up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Work with the eCommerce platform to review and approve online orders and patient accounts, ensuring seamless integration with our retail operations.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma and 1-3 years' experience in a retail environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office required.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable to change in the work environment.
  • At least 21 years of age as required by law.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug test as required by law.
