Position Title: Lead Civil Engineering Project Manager

Job Overview:

Moody and Associates, Inc. is in search of a seasoned civil engineering professional to join our expanding Civil Engineering division. This role involves creating comprehensive land development strategies for a diverse range of clients, including commercial, institutional, municipal, and energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple projects while adhering to Moody's exemplary project management standards.
  • Lead the preparation of proposals, encompassing service scopes and cost assessments for various projects.
  • Facilitate the development and presentation of qualifications.
  • Plan and manage activities related to several projects, including custom applications and non-conformances, ensuring project plans, risk registers, and error budgets are maintained.
  • Coordinate project plans with the broader interdepartmental team to guarantee successful product launches and ongoing support.
  • Conduct overall project monitoring and control, including cost management, forecasting, schedule updates, and reporting.
  • Communicate project status and essential product features to both internal team members and clients.
  • Collaborate with owners, architects, inspectors, engineers, and subcontractors throughout project lifecycles.
  • Resolve design issues and review Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Mentor and manage staff across various levels.
  • Process submittals and maintain an updated submittal log.
  • Assist in documenting meeting minutes for on-site and client meetings.
  • Ensure project documentation is current and communicate changes to relevant parties.
  • Support the preparation of change orders.
  • Contribute to the development of the engineering department's annual budget.
  • Track project progress and financials, providing regular updates to the Executive Team.
  • Obtain necessary project permits and assist with pre-construction tasks.
  • Prepare and submit project close-out documentation.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is required.
  • A Professional Engineering license in Pennsylvania is mandatory; additional state licenses are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 10 years of civil engineering experience, including staff management.
  • Expertise in site development is essential, with additional experience in oil and gas, water, wastewater, geotechnical, or environmental engineering being beneficial.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Experience in executing projects within a multidisciplinary environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, HydroCAD, and other engineering software is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Exhibit excellent collaborative skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Adhere to company and client safety protocols and policies.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Work Schedule:

Typical work hours average between 40-45 hours per week, with schedules varying based on business needs. Work hours are generally confirmed during the weekdays but may occasionally include weekend shifts.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position include the ability to perform essential functions, which may involve light to moderate lifting. The work environment typically includes moderate noise levels, and the ability to sit at a computer for extended periods is necessary.
