Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Engineer to join our team at Phoenix Technical Solutions. As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing projects related to Locomotive System Design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and resolve electrical component failures.
  • Ensure that engineering activities within one or more projects are efficiently executed to meet customer expectations, contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering sub-system teams, drafting, and global engineering sites.
  • Review and approve designs and 2-D drawings developed by designers.
  • Solve problems that appear during engineering development using appropriate communication, models, and tools.
  • Support the advanced design and development of electro-mechanical components.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute on critical project milestones, including design reviews, material orders, prototype builds, field and bench testing.
Requirements
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
  • Experience with GD&T, general manufacturing processes, tooling, and Lean Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical design and control logic.
  • Proficient in 3D modeling (UG or Solid Works), a plus.
  • Familiarity with transformers, capacitors, bus bars, contactors, relays, and circuit breakers.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
