Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreman to join our team at PJ Dick-Trumbull-Lindy Group. As a Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our heavy civil and highway construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Setup and Coordination

Preview the limits of work and degree of readiness for the start of the project. Determine the project scope and set-up requirements for traffic control, equipment, trucks, and materials needs on the project.

Team Supervision and Organization

Coordinate and monitor the daily production, including the supervision and organization of all crew members and equipment. Ensure all tasks on the project are completed to contract specifications.

Safety and Quality Assurance

Maintain a safe work environment and ensure that all work is performed in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.

Communication and Collaboration

Develop and maintain effective relationships with project owners, inspectors, and subcontractors. Communicate project status and progress to stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of foreman experience on highway/roadway construction projects.

Skills and Qualifications

Demonstrate decision-making skills, the ability to manage, supervise, schedule, and delegate directions to a crew. Must have the ability to read and follow plans and DOT specifications. Computer skills are preferred with the use of programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and any other job-related software required by the company or project.

Personal Qualities

A professional work ethic and attitude with good communication skills are necessary for effective communication with project owners, inspectors, and subcontractors. Must be willing to travel, work various shifts, and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
