Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Remote

FLSA: Exempt

Position Overview:

The Business Development Manager plays a crucial role in driving the achievement of sales targets within a designated region, specifically focused on our Safe-Guard's Agent Partner Channel. This position collaborates closely with our Client Relations team to deliver essential resources and guidance aimed at enhancing sales performance, dealer training, and superior customer service. The BDM will leverage their product expertise, training capabilities, and problem-solving skills to support and cultivate the business of assigned agents, thereby maximizing productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison with key partners and clients to achieve or surpass established budgetary goals and strategic annual outcomes.
  • Utilize Safe-Guard's branded training platform as a unique selling proposition and added value.
  • Collaborate with the sales management team to implement initiatives that enhance sales revenue and meet assigned objectives.
  • Conduct training sessions for dealers aimed at boosting profitability and increasing product sales penetration.
  • Employ approved training and marketing resources effectively.
  • Support dealers in adhering to relevant laws and regulations through best practice evaluations and ongoing training via the agent partner.
  • Promote and facilitate dealer participation in comprehensive F&I certification and training programs organized by Safe-Guard.
  • Ensure comprehensive training of all dealership personnel across various departments on the features, benefits, and value propositions of our product offerings.
  • Develop and execute action plans to enhance sales of the product suite.
  • Initiate and foster deeper relationships with agents and dealers to improve productivity.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
  • At least 3 years of experience in retail F&I or sales (this may be included in the 5 years).
  • A strong enthusiasm for learning new technologies.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing your own schedule.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take ownership and drive business outcomes.
  • Experience in delivering in-store F&I training.
  • A proven track record of successful training initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and public speaking abilities.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in menu selling.
  • Proficient in selling F&I products.
  • Experienced in sales development strategies.
  • Hands-on experience in training dealership personnel.
  • Ability to build relationships with key dealer personnel and collaborate closely with agents and dealers to create mutually beneficial strategies for productivity enhancement.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
