About the team
The Strategic Partnerships team tackles partnerships that drive key revenue growth areas for the business with impact across all segments. We are in the Chief Strategy Office that works on Worldpay's most important partnerships - analyzing where we need to partner, identifying and assessing key
partnership opportunities, structuring commercial deals, and where needed, managing partner relationships. This role will be focused on our Product Partnerships in particular, looking at partners who can bring additional value to existing and new merchants through new and interesting technology and
services.
About the Role:
The Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships does the following activities:
Develop and execute partner strategy: analyze internal capabilities and external market factors to determine where we need to partner, who to partner with, how to structure partnerships, etc.
Lead all aspects of deal execution with support: identifying and prioritizing targets, business case development, deal structuring, negotiating terms and contracts, and closing
Collaborate across segments: liaise with Product, Sales, Commercial, and Strategy teams and other areas of the business to gather input and ensure alignment on the partners we pursue.
Build deep market knowledge through the ability to evaluate product offerings, utilize data and creatively find/use insights from internal and external sources
Ensures the success of partnerships and work with the partner and stakeholders at Worldpay to launch and grow the partnership
Have the autonomy to explore other potential partnerships that can deliver additional capabilities to our existing suite of products and services, and hence additional value to our merchants
About you:
7
years of sales experience in a business development (preferred) or a relationship management role, ideally in a technology or fintech space
A track record of signing and launching new partnerships with tangible business value and
revenue impact, ideally in a technology or fintech space
Proven ability to assess potential partnerships with a strategic lens; thinking through use cases, value proposition, what that means for the business case, and what tangible business benefit it provides in the short and long-term
