Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to become a vital part of our finance team at NVT Staffing. The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of accounting practices and principles, with the capability to handle various financial responsibilities and maintain precise financial documentation. This position demands expertise in bookkeeping software, meticulous attention to detail, and robust analytical skills.

**Qualifications: **

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance roles within the real estate sector.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with QuickBooks reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with real estate transactions.
  • Background in retail and cabinetry.
  • Experience in real estate bookkeeping.
  • Knowledge of maintaining two sets of books.
  • Experience with LLCs.
  • Ability to conduct forecasting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

**Key Responsibilities: **

  • Oversee full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements along with general ledger accounts.
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate financial records while adhering to financial regulations and policies.
  • Process payroll to guarantee timely and accurate payments, complying with payroll regulations.
  • Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting efforts.
  • Issue and monitor invoices, track collections, and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and clarifications regarding financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather essential financial information and resolve discrepancies.
  • Continuously enhance financial processes and systems for improved efficiency.
