Position Overview: The Educator Preparation Analyst plays a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of educator preparation initiatives by collaborating on the functional design and implementation of the Educator Certification Online System (ECOS). This position involves addressing operational challenges, fulfilling service requests from educator preparation programs (EPPs), and delivering training to EPP staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. ECOS Maintenance: Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) to coordinate with TEA and EPP users, identifying system requirements and facilitating user acceptance testing for system updates.
  2. Program Support: Provide ongoing administrative support to EPPs and TEA, addressing service requests and resolving operational issues related to ECOS functionality.
  3. Data Support: Collaborate with various TEA teams to generate insightful data and reports that inform educator preparation functions.
  4. Certificate Implementation: Act as an SME for the Educator Preparation team, ensuring successful transitions and support for new certificates.
  5. Team Collaboration: Assist the Educator Preparation team with various functions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A degree from an accredited four-year institution.
  • Licenses: Preferred educator certification.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years in a systems support role.
  • Substitutions: An advanced degree may replace two years of required experience.
