Key Responsibilities:

  1. ECOS Maintenance: Serve as a subject matter expert to collaborate with TEA and educator preparation program (EPP) users, ensuring system requirements are met and facilitating user acceptance testing.
  2. Program Support: Provide ongoing administrative assistance to EPPs, addressing service requests and operational challenges related to the Educator Certification Online System (ECOS).
  3. Data Analysis: Work collaboratively across TEA teams to generate insightful data and reports that support the functions of the Educator Preparation team.
  4. Certificate Implementation: Act as a subject matter expert in the successful rollout and transition of new educator certificates.
  5. Team Collaboration: Assist the Educator Preparation team in various functions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years in a systems support role.
  • Licenses: Preferred educator certification.

  • Strong belief in the potential of all Texas students to succeed.
  • Proficient in various technology tools, including spreadsheets and presentation software.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships across various levels of the organization.

This position requires adherence to agency standards, including a background check prior to employment.
