Position Overview:

The Tissue Sample Preparation Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Signatera team by meticulously preparing, cutting, and staining tissue specimens for evaluation by pathologists. This position is integral to the efficient functioning of a histology laboratory.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of high-quality tissue samples and stained slides.
  • Identification and resolution of technical issues related to sample processing.
  • Adherence to both state and federal laboratory regulations.
  • Provision of professional assistance to the Clinical Trial team through precise data collection, organization, and transfer.
  • Execution of additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree with completion of a certified clinical program in medical laboratory sciences, specifically in histopathology, or an equivalent qualification.


Certification:

ASCP certification as HT/HTL is required.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adept at accurately interpreting and relaying information to colleagues.
  • Detail-oriented with a comprehensive understanding of the significance of data.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
