Job Overview

Position: Control Systems Assembly Technician

Location: Webster, TX (Onsite)

Work Schedule: 1st shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with potential for overtime and weekend work.

Contract Duration: 6-8 months, with the possibility of extension.

Role Summary:

  • The ideal candidate will provide assistance in the assembly, staging, wiring, testing, and factory acceptance testing of Triconex control systems.
  • Experience in interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams is essential.
  • Familiarity with Triconex cabinet hardware and system configurations is required.
  • Proficiency in cabinet and panel wiring, as well as the ability to utilize testing and calibration equipment, is necessary.
  • Experience in troubleshooting system power, cabinet/panel wiring, and control systems hardware is expected.
  • Training and knowledge of Triconex hardware and systems are mandatory.
  • Understanding of control panel cabinet wiring standards, the National Electrical Code, and ISO procedures is crucial.
  • Collaboration with engineering teams and clients as dictated by project requirements is essential.
  • Awareness of safe working practices around powered equipment and staging areas is important.
  • Some travel may be necessary during project start-up and check-out phases.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Triconex systems and staging floor check-out.
  • Proficient in panel wiring and knowledgeable about Triconex hardware layout and electrical schematics.
  • Strong understanding of Factory Acceptance Testing procedures and techniques.
  • Familiarity with Triconex turbine and safety systems is preferred.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of working independently.
  • Excellent communication skills in English are required.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience with Triconex systems.
  • Over 10 years of experience in panel wiring and electrical/system check-out.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • High School Diploma (GED) or equivalent technical training/experience is required.
  • Knowledge and experience in electrical, safety, and turbine control systems check-out are necessary.
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and follow directions.
  • Capability to adhere to schedules and work overtime/weekends as needed.
