Job Summary

Nauticus Robotics is seeking a highly skilled Senior Field Operations Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting the safe and efficient deployment, operation, and maintenance of our subsea assets in various offshore environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Robotics Deployment and Maintenance: Assemble and disassemble robotic systems according to specifications and engineering drawings, perform routine maintenance and inspections on robots, and troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Field Campaign Planning and Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute field campaigns, ensuring the safe and efficient deployment of subsea assets.
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide on-site technical support and troubleshoot technical issues related to robotic systems and subsea assets.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair activities, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Travel and Field Operations: Travel to field sites for robot deployment and provide on-site technical support as needed, working in a variety of offshore environments and small vessels.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Associate degree or equivalent in robotics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a related field, and a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working with AUVs, UUVs or similar robotic systems.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing technical issues in robotics equipment, and excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Physical and Environmental Demands: Ability to work in a variety of offshore environments, including exposure to heat, cold, and loud environments, and ability to ascend/descend ladders and maneuver in tight spaces.
