Position Overview
Leidos is looking for an Electronics Manufacturing Specialist to enhance our team. In this capacity, you will deliver technical assistance for engineering initiatives, encompassing electrical and mechanical assembly, fabrication, and evaluation. Your responsibilities will also include the creation of cables and electronic components, troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining laboratory environments. The preferred candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency, along with the capability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance, is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer technical engineering assistance and execute tasks as outlined in work authorizing documents.
- Carry out cable and electronic component fabrication adhering to established workmanship standards.
- Support various projects, manage priorities, and complete tasks in a dynamic environment with stringent deadlines.
- Prepare cables for flight processing.
- Conduct general laboratory maintenance and organization.
Essential Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent, with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Skilled in interpreting and executing requirements from engineering schematics and work orders.
- Basic understanding of mathematics and computer science principles.
- Familiarity with tool calibration processes.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in printed wiring board (PWB) assembly using various soldering methods.
- Proficient electronics troubleshooting abilities.
- Knowledge of Fiber Optics.
- Working knowledge of Inventory Management Systems.
