The responsibilities include working with electrical and mechanical systems, performing assembly, troubleshooting, and testing tasks. This position will contribute to both the development of new hardware and ongoing engineering support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical engineering support and execute tasks as per work authorization documents.
- Handle tasks related to laptops, printers, audio-visual equipment, and various electrical or mechanical components.
- Fabricate cables and electronic components adhering to recognized industry standards.
- Manage multiple projects effectively, prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment with stringent deadlines.
- Prepare cables with non-flammable materials for flight processing.
- Maintain general cleanliness and organization of the lab environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work orders.
- Fundamental knowledge of mathematics and computer science.
- Familiarity with the engineering drawing process and tool calibration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in cable and electronic component fabrication following recognized workmanship standards.
- Proficiency in PWB population using various soldering techniques.
- Skills in electronics troubleshooting and fiber optics.
- Understanding of inventory management systems.
Compensation:
The pay for this position is expected to be competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
This position is governed by the Service Contract Act.
