Automotive Service Technician

Automotive Aftermarket Services LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of vehicle maintenance and repair.

The Automotive Service Technician will be tasked with diagnosing and rectifying issues in client and dealership vehicles while upholding our commitment to integrity and client satisfaction. Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients is essential, especially when addressing any concerns regarding previous services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough examinations of vehicles to identify damage or malfunctions, collaborating with the Shop Foreman or Service Advisor as necessary.
  • Communicate any additional service needs to the Service Advisor for client notification.
  • Plan and execute work procedures in conjunction with the Shop Foreman.
  • Provide accurate labor time estimates to the Service Advisor.
  • Monitor repair progress and keep the Service Advisor updated on the status of client vehicles.
  • Adhere strictly to dealership policies regarding vehicle care and operation.
  • Document all repairs and services performed on client vehicles.
  • Utilize the dealership's computer systems effectively.
  • Mentor and assist Technician Trainees.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions and stay updated with factory technical bulletins.
  • Comply with all relevant Federal, State, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal.
  • Attend weekly departmental meetings.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess a high school diploma or GED, with one to three months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licenses and Certifications

Valid Operator's Driver's License and State Inspection License are required.

Physical Requirements

The role demands the ability to perform various physical tasks, including:

  • Regularly standing, walking, and using hands for manual tasks.
  • Reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds frequently, and occasionally more than 100 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
