Position Title: Direct Care Workers/Recovery Assistants

Organization: Change Inc.

Direct Care Workers/Recovery Assistants play a crucial role in delivering essential support services to individuals in both home and community environments. Our clients benefit from a variety of programs we provide, which encompass elder care (including companionship, homemaking, and personal care assistance), mental health and recovery support, as well as in-home assistance for individuals with developmental disabilities or acquired brain injuries.

  • Engage in meaningful conversations and offer companionship, support, and necessary resources for daily living.
  • Develop and sustain a supportive rapport with participants through effective communication techniques.
  • Assist clients in reaching their recovery plan objectives.
  • Consistently report progress to supervisors and agency representatives through daily documentation.
  • Provide transportation for clients to medical appointments or social engagements as specified in the recovery plan, utilizing personal vehicles or public transit.
  • Carry out light housekeeping responsibilities.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 15 pounds.

  • Experience in healthcare or a strong background in customer service.
  • Dependable and responsible with a genuine passion for helping others.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.
