Job Overview:

JES Holdings seeks a seasoned Regional Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the upkeep of apartment communities within a specific region. This role involves training and developing regional maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to customer service standards, and collaborating with the Regional Manager and HR to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Address resident maintenance issues promptly, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Property Inspections: Regularly inspect properties to identify necessary maintenance and repairs, ensuring a safe and habitable environment for residents.
  • Staff Development: Collaborate with Regional Manager and HR to hire, train, and develop on-site maintenance technicians, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
  • Scheduling: Schedule maintenance technicians based on projected workloads, optimizing resource allocation and minimizing downtime.
  • Budget Management: Manage maintenance budget in coordination with the property management team, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control.
  • Systems Implementation: Implement systems to track work orders, maintenance, safety compliance, inventory, purchases, and make readies, streamlining operations and improving efficiency.
  • Performance Management: Monitor maintenance staff performance, conducting performance reviews when needed, and providing constructive feedback for growth and development.
  • Safety Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections on the property, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Budgeting: Assist in creating maintenance operating budgets, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Emergency Response: Cover on-calls and emergencies as required, providing timely and effective support to residents and staff.
  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors to ensure proper completion of contracted work, maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring timely delivery.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent, with a focus on technical skills and knowledge.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and janitorial services, with a strong understanding of building trades.
  • Leadership: Ability to work independently, travel daily, and lead a team of maintenance technicians, with a focus on collaboration and communication.
  • Tools and Equipment: Familiarity with hand and power tools, as well as the ability to operate a vehicle and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Experience: Supervisory experience in a maintenance or operations role, with a focus on customer service, staff development, and budget management.
