Job Summary

The Diocese of Orlando seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented School Bookkeeper to join our team. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day operations, and providing exceptional support to our school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Oversee the school's financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the school principal, faculty, and staff, including coordinating meetings and events.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary contact for the Diocesan Shared Accounting Services (DSAS) and communicate effectively with parents, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports, including monthly and periodic statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with diocesan policies.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including tax laws and financial reporting requirements.
Requirements
  • Catholic Faith: Requires an appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, finance, or accounting, with a minimum of four years of professional experience in positions of increasing responsibility.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Working Environment

This is a full-time position, working in an office setting with occasional evening and weekend hours. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
