POSITION OVERVIEW

The role of the Human Resources Generalist is to oversee a variety of Human Resources functions that encompass recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits management, and compliance with applicable regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Interprets and applies federal, state, and local laws, codes, and policies; takes necessary actions to address any discrepancies or violations.


Provides guidance and support to employees and management regarding personnel matters, benefits, policies, and procedures; addresses routine inquiries and facilitates problem resolution.

Manages documentation related to departmental operations, ensuring timely processing according to established protocols.


Facilitates employee recruitment and selection processes; assesses position requirements and essential functions; prepares job advertisements; manages application submissions; reviews candidate qualifications; participates in interviews; ensures compliance with all relevant guidelines.


Coordinates the onboarding process for new hires; verifies all necessary documentation; collaborates with departments on start dates; prepares offer letters; conducts orientation sessions; addresses questions regarding policies and procedures.


Handles employee status changes; inputs information into the HRIS/Payroll system in accordance with established policies; verifies compliance with salary adjustments and performance review schedules.


Assists in employee training and development initiatives; liaises with educational institutions; identifies training needs and coordinates logistics for training sessions.


Provides career development support to enhance employee retention; meets with employees to discuss career aspirations; researches training options to facilitate career growth.


Manages the offboarding process for departing employees; schedules exit interviews; communicates benefits termination and final payout information; ensures return of company property.


Oversees performance review processes; distributes forms; verifies completion and signatures; monitors timelines for probationary reviews.


Coordinates employee recognition programs; researches best practices; leads committees to develop and implement awards programs; manages nominations and selection processes.


Ensures accurate processing of employment verification requests.


Administers employee benefits programs, including health, dental, and life insurance; organizes open enrollment activities; assists employees with enrollment and claims issues.


Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information and adheres to all privacy regulations.


ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS

Performs clerical tasks as needed, which may include answering inquiries and managing documentation.
