Human Resources Specialist

Cahill Contractors is in search of a dedicated Human Resources Specialist. This role will report directly to the Senior HR Manager and play a vital part in helping Cahill attract, retain, and develop the capabilities of our most valuable resource, our employees. This is a non-exempt position.

Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Post job vacancies and establish interview schedules within our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Coordinate interviews through our ATS.
- Support Cahill's involvement in career fairs and recruitment events.
- Assist in organizing activities related to Cahill's internship program.
- Represent Cahill at various career fairs.
- Coordinate background checks and reference checks.
- Assist with onboarding processes for office personnel.
- Support the annual open enrollment process.
- Assist in generating reports for various benefit programs and annual assessments.
- Act as a backup for HR Generalist regarding benefits inquiries and changes throughout the year.
- Serve as a backup for payroll regarding employment verification.
- Prepare employment verification letters.
- Act as a liaison with payroll for employee-related changes.
- Monitor employee vacation accruals.
- Ensure that Cahill's employment practices comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Coordinate compliance with city, state, and federal regulations and manage required postings.
- Track employee compliance training and arrange training sessions as necessary.
- Maintain HR documentation.
- Oversee the maintenance of Viewpoint as our integrated HRIS/payroll system.
- Ensure data accuracy in our performance management software.
- Manage employee information in our learning management system.
- Maintain the Standard Operating Procedures manual for HR.
- Assist in the planning of HR events and training sessions.
- Coordinate the procurement and inventory management of promotional items with the marketing team.
- Support various HR projects as required.
- Act as a reliable resource for employees.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to work collaboratively, solve problems, and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- This is a full-time direct-hire position with a hybrid work model.
